Truck Driver- Region 3

Job Summary:  Safely haul grain, fertilizer, and associated materials and equipment between locations while maintaining a clean & efficient running truck and trailer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

• Haul grain, dry & liquid fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, trackmobiles, and other company equipment
• Efficient operation of semi tractor and trailer within company service areas
• Perform daily vehicle inspections
• Complete daily truck log sheets properly
• Maintain clean truck/trailer
• Monitor vehicles for regular maintenance/service needs
• Assist with vehicle repair and maintenance when needed on the road or in the shop
• Participate in company DOT drug and alcohol program
• Assist agronomy and feed departments with driving and other operational duties as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
